Every morning we wake up and we have twenty-four brand new hours to
live. What are we going to do with them?

You could come to Traverse City and visit Knollwood. There are some
good reasons for this--keep reading....
 | Tony has coffee out by 6:45 am. You walk out of your room, get
coffee, a banana, maybe a piece of homemade banana bread, and wander to the
beach to watch the ducks. If you're lucky, you'll hear short blasts of
compressed air and just when you're wondering what that noise is--a hot air
balloon will emerge from the mist over the water. If you're not
lucky enough for the balloon, you'll still be in good company with the ducks
looking for a handout and the elegant swans swimming by. |
 | Not a morning person? No problem--join the group
by the nightly campfire and swap stories. The faces change, but the jokes
and songs become like old friends. Some nights we're lucky enough to have
musical talent--some nights it's just quiet sharing of activities of the day.
|
 | Wineries--restaurants--our State
Theater--parks--shopping--casinos--activities for all interests. Or, find
a shady spot on the property and curl up with a good book during the heat of the
afternoon. |
 | That'sa Pizza - local pizza with a flair.
Carolina Peanut salad, chicken pesto pizza, and a berry smoothie--or, go
traditional with ham and pepperoni and a beer. They also have wraps and
wonderful sandwiches. Best of all---you don't have to leave the
beach. Just call and they deliver! |
 | Wander the gardens of Knollwood. They started with
one garden bed and continued to grow--until Tony firmly told Sandy, "NO
MORE!" A wonderful variety of plants--each season has something
beautiful and unusual. My question to all is, "Who decides what is a
weed and what is a flower?" Ponder this question as you wander the
grounds.
|
 | Sunsets over the bay. Every night you think it's the
most beautiful sunset you've ever seen, but the next night the skies produce
something even more magnificent. I'm particularly fond of the afterglow,
when the sun has slipped below the horizon and the pinks and yellows light up
the water with a subtle glow...a wonderful time to slip into the water for a
last dip of the day. |
There's more...but I could be biased. Come see for yourself. It
could be a good way to spend twenty-four hours of your life...or
forty-eight...or seventy-two...or....
